POLISH WIKIPEDIA

ABOUT THE LANGUAGE:

Polish is spoken by ~50 mln people (including me :3). It's the official language of Republic of Poland (pl. Rzeczpospolita Polska). Polish is a Lechitic language from the west branch of the slavic languages. It is also part of the Indo-european language family. The word order is free, but SVO is prefered. Polish uses modified Latin Alphabet for spelling.

Polish people began using the alphabeti in XII century, but, due to the fact that polish was a slavic language, there has been attemps to write it with Cyryllic: I. P. Zatonski's adaptation, B. Uszko's adaptation, "Polskizcyrylica", C. Murphy's adaptation, Alexander II's adaptation and many more.
